Recover from the Holiday Season
The holiday season of over-indulgence is over . . . it is a new year and time to get back to simple basics. And, in keeping things simple, here are 4 steps toward rejuvenation and renewal in this New Year:
- Eat right: The sugar-laden holidays are over! Throw out
the left-over sweets if you have to ... reduce the temptation
to finish the last bite! Add fresh "live" fruits and vegetables
to your meals. Include lean protein and essential fats.
- Exercise: Get back into an exercise program! It is a great
way to strengthen your immune system.
- Get a good night's sleep: Get back to a regular bedtime.
Eat a lighter meal before bedtime. A full night's sleep allows
your body time to repair and recharge!
- Drink plenty of water: Winter is a dry season (inside all day with forced heated air blowing on you) and your body needs
hydration.
