It's August, and it's still hot! This is a transitional
month ...winding down from the summer and preparing
for Fall. Many of us feel 'beat by the heat' and don't
have the energy for anymore tips, no matter how
helpful
they may be! Others may be getting their second wind
...making the most of every minute summer has to offer.
Wherever you find yourself ...you know my first health tip ...drink lots of water! Each and every organ system needs plenty of water to function optimally. Research shows that many headaches can be prevented just by staying properly hydrated.
Listen to your body. Respect the outdoor temperature. Limit (or reschedule) excessive exercise or activity during the hottest part of the day.
There are health benefits in sun exposure ...get the early morning sun. Most experts suggest getting out of the intense sun by 10:00 am (it's 9:00 am for me). Enjoy the sun on your early morning walk or jog, or an early breakfast on the patio. Just a few minutes in the gentle morning sun contributes to your Vitamin D supply ...naturally.
