Your body needs plenty of water in winter. This benefits circulation of the blood and
lymph in removing excess from the body. Warming herbal teas (ginger, peppermint, cinnamon) soothe the chills and stir the circulation without the caffeine jitters.
Warming Winter Drink:
Wash one grapefruit and cut in 1/4 pieces.
Fill 1-quart saucepan with 1 to 2 cups of water
Squeeze juice from grapefruit pieces into water, then add rind/pulp
Simmer on low heat until hot, but not boiling
Pour grapefruit drink into a mug
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons honey and pinch of cayenne powder
Sip slowly.
