Oh, these windy days remind me of my early years growing up in the Texas Panhandle. Texas women back then used lots of Aqua Net hair spray and wore head-scarves.

I do believe there is a connection between the harshness and the strength of the summer months. Roots must hold on much more tightly in summer’s hot windy days and that helps them grow stout and strong.

Developing strong roots  proved valuable to those Texas trees. Likewise, it’s important for us to cultivate a strong and healthy internal root system in order to withstand the difficulties life sometimes throws at us. Take time this summer to “keep your cool” and nurture your inner garden.
